An ultra design house between land and sea

An ultra design house between land and sea

The architecture studio Cadaval & Solà-Morales imagined a house that would be entirely turned towards the splendid view offered by the construction site. Located on the border between France and Space, the very graphic Sunflower House is installed on the side of rocks to face the sea and offer residents an exceptional setting. Visit a house with a bold structure.

The living room as a central room

Cadaval & Solà-Morales / Sandra Pereznieto From the outside, we already understand that the house will be divided into different units to differentiate the spaces while keeping an entirely open area to take advantage of the light. It is then the living room which becomes the heart of the house with a central space from which the units leave. The materials are raw to meet the graphic design of the house and the contemporary furniture warms the whole with leather for example.

Advances towards the sea

Cadaval & Solà-Morales / Sandra Pereznieto From the living room, each small unit constitutes a different space. The living room thus enjoys a panoramic view of the sea with an opening on all the units of the facade. A dream setting and a perfectly controlled lighting problem.

A dining room with a view

Cadaval & Solà-Morales / Sandra Pereznieto The dining room takes place for example in one of these units which are none other than the projections of the facade. The impression is then to settle above the sea for a meal with a breathtaking view.

A lounge open to the horizon

Cadaval & Solà-Morales / Sandra Pereznieto In another module, the architecture studio has placed armchairs inspired by the design of outdoor furniture to give a feeling of being outside without leaving the house. We take advantage of the superb view and changing colors while being protected from the Tramontane on days when the wind blows at more than 180km / h.

A design staircase as a link

Cadaval & Solà-Morales / Sandra Pereznieto Between the ground floor and the second floor, the spaces are not completely closed, once again to make the most of the natural light throughout the house. Also, to make the link between these two open spaces, the architects have bet on a sculptural staircase which dresses the volume of the house. Clean, it integrates while providing decorative added value.

Open circulation spaces

Cadaval & Solà-Morales / Sandra Pereznieto There is no question of not enjoying the view while traveling around the house! Even the hallways open to the outside and inside to maximize the light and provide a bold home. The architects therefore bet on glass for the railing in order to offer design and practicality.

Sleep by the sea

Cadaval & Solà-Morales / Sandra Pereznieto The bedroom has been fitted out in a unit so as to face the sea. The bed is therefore installed facing the view for a heavenly awakening and the rest of the room incorporates discreet furniture for let the eye focus on the beauty of the landscape.

A terrace for relaxation

Cadaval & Solà-Morales / Sandra Pereznieto And when there is no wind, the owners can enjoy an outdoor space overlooking the sea and offering a view of the rocks typical of the region. An ultra design house in a natural setting, a spectacular contrast.

A private swimming pool with the sea

Cadaval & Solà-Morales / Sandra Pereznieto The highlight of this house's show: the infinity pool which offers a breathtaking view and allows you to bathe your eyes in the eyes with the sea without leaving your home. More info: www.ca-so.com
